So a couple of weeks ago we went to the London Blogging Fashion Week in Hoxton. We came across a brand called Amie (Friend in French) which is a natural skincare and product line for sensitive skin, that is created by top beautyexpert Fiona Parkhouse. According to their website their products are are ideal for people with sensitive skin that can be oily and are prone to breakouts or dryness. These products are free from parabens, sulphate, mineral oils, petrochemicals, animal extracts and are also very suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
My skin at the moment has recovered from my massive breakout about 4/5 years ago where my skin was bad to the point where makeup wouldn’t even cover up my acne at all. Right now after changing my skincare routine it has gotten better however due to the harsness of the tea tree products that has helped with clearing my acne and blemishes it has left my skin quite dry and from time to time, I would breakout for about a couple of days. If you would like to know how I was able to clear up my acne leave a comment below and let us know.
Amie provided us with four products:
1.Morning Dew Matte-Finish Moisturiser – £4.95
First of all I love this product although it says its for a morning dew look I actually use this at night as I have a morning routine that I have which is hard for me to break out of, but if I do finish my morning routine moisturiser I would most likely use this one.
I love the scent that this product has it’s not too overpowering, it has natural plant sugars that hydrates the skin and rosehip and bilberry for nourishment. I have to say after using this moisturiser for a couple weeks I can tell my my skin is softer and more hydrated and the dryness around my cheeks is definitely smoother and softer. I would totally repurchase this product when I run out, it’s also very affordable as well.
This all in one cleaner, toner and makeup remover is suitable for all skin types. your skin is relatively soft after a couple of uses maybe it’s due to the rose petal and argan oil extracts. The scent is not as strong as other toners are and it does not have that stinging feeling after you use it leaving your face feeling refreshed and ready for moisturising.
3. New Leaf Deep Pore Exfoliating Polish – £5.95
The exfoliating polish is a deep cleansing treatment that has natural rice granules that actually smells like peach and it cleasns deep down into the pores removing the dirt and impurities. With hints of Mango and orange blosson you can help but enjoy your little spa moment. I use this product twice a week for a deep cleanse.
4. Morning Clear Purifying Facial Wash – £4.95
This facial wash is like my saviour, loving the fact that it’s one product that you can use day or night, which is basicaly what I do. I have been using the facial wash for 2 weeks day and night and I am loving how it is leaving my skin feeling smooth and fresh before and after my sleep. As it is soap-free you don’t have to worry about your eyes stinging but I don’t suggest you to test out that theory though :p
According to their webste this facial wash is pH balanced and the 15% moisturising firmula leaves your skin feeling soft, deeply cleansed and refreshed to wither end your night or to get your day started.
That’s my review and to telly ou the truth I am loving this brand and wil definitely repurchase this brand when I have run out, this skincare line is not only affordable but it really works and it’s not harsh on the skin. I would recommend these products to those with sensitive skin. But check out their website here for the full range of their product.
